Why Hopster?

As a newcomer in Auckland, one of the things I struggled with was the lack of information about where to top-up Hop cards. There was a list of locations on MyHop's website but without a map view its utility was very limited.

Surely more people were having the same problem. I do web design and development and creating a site with this information wouldn't be that hard. Being a contractor, I had the time to do this and Hopster was born.

Data

The top up location's data is available at myhop.co.nz. The coordinates of the locations were inserted manually.

What's next?

There's still a lot to do on Hopster – releasing a proper v1.0 is the main priority. I want to provide alternatives for people using older browsers and develop a not-so-mobile version. After this I'd like to add a route functionality, so you know how far the next top-up location is.
